Trekking - Jebel Qihwi Climb ~ Dibba, United Arab Emirates | 1 day
Jebel Qihwi, rising 1792 metres above sea level is one of the highest points in the Musandam Peninsula. This challenging trek starts from the Ru’us Al Jebel Plateau and follows donkey paths along an exposed ridge towards the summit. We enjoy spectacular views down to Aqabat and other Omani villages as we continue our trek. To reach the summit we must enter a crack in the rocks and clamber up a chimney before emerging on the top. From the summit there are views to the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. After we enjoy our packed lunch we retrace our steps back to our cars for the return to Dibba.
